Making Australia Home

The National Archives project Making Australia Home is progressively making thousands of 20th-century migration records available online.

Cabinet records

Each year the National Archives releases the records of the federal Cabinet of 30 years before.

Royal Commission on Intelligence and Security

In May 2008, the National Archives released the records of the first major inquiry into Australia's security and intelligence services – the Royal Commission on Intelligence and Security.

A Gift to the Nation

Records of men and women who served with the Australian army in World War I are preserved in the National Archives. In a three-year preservation project, we have digitised 376,000 of these service records.
