Managing digital information, records and archives

In this forum, an expert group of speakers assessed the latest strategies and techniques for managing digital information, records and archives.

The program highlighted cooperation and collaboration in addressing common challenges associated with creating, managing, preserving and providing access to digital information. Digital Futures International Forum appealed to a wide variety of audiences including:

  • government officials
  • researchers
  • information managers
  • records professionals

The venue for this National Archives of Australia event was the Theatre of Parliament House, Canberra, 18–19 September 2007.

Digital Futures International Forum built on earlier events organised by the National Archives in cooperation with the Council of Australasian Archives and Records Authorities, such as the Digital Futures Industry Briefing in Canberra in November 2006 and the Digital Futures Professional Briefing in Alice Springs in August 2007.

A summary of key outcomes is available to download below.
