Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize 2009
Thirty-three of the prize-winning and highly commended artworks from Australia’s richest natural history art competition can be seen at the National Archives in Canberra.
On display are paintings, works on paper, sculpture and objects that reflect and celebrate the beauty and fragility of the natural world.
The judges were Head Curator of Australian Art at the Art Gallery of NSW Barry Pearce, well-known artist Garry Shead, Director of the South Australian Museum Dr Suzanne Miller and Director of Public Programs at the National Archives Zoe D’Arcy.
