Advice of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse on the importance of records

The Archives' welcomes the advice of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse on the importance of records, supported by good recordkeeping practices.

The Archives is currently reviewing the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. Advice to agencies on implementing recommendations relevant to the management of Australian government records and information will be provided in the New Year. The Archives will liaise with state and territory archives and records authorities on the interpretation of the Commission's recommendations.
